CHA! by Texas Pete® Spicy Potato and Green Bean au Gratin

    • 2 C Water
    • 1/2 C Milk
    • 2 tbsp. Butter
    • 1 1/2 tbsp. CHA! by Texas Pete®
    • 1 – 4.7 oz. box Packaged, dried, au Gratin Potatoes, Creamy Cheese Sauce
    • 1 – 14.5 oz. can French cut green beans, canned, drained
    • 2 tsp. Breadcrumbs, seasoned

    YIELD: 4-5 cups
    PORTION (Serving Size): 1/2 cup

    1. Place the water, milk, butter and the CHA! by Texas Pete® along with the seasoning packet from the Au Gratin Potatoes into a medium-sized saucepot and bring to a simmer.  Add the potatoes from the Au Gratin Potatoes and simmer on the stovetop, covered for approximately 20 minutes, stirring often to prevent the mixture from burning.  After 20 minutes, test the potatoes to assure that they are tender.
    2. Add the drained French Cut Green Beans to the potato mixture and cook for 1-2 more minutes or just until the green beans are heated through.
    3. Preheat the broiler in the oven.
    4. Pour the spicy potato and green bean mixture into a casserole pan.
    5. Sprinkle the 2 teaspoons of breadcrumbs on top and place the casserole pan underneath the broiler for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
    6. Serve as a side with many meals.
