    Texas Pete® Spicy Cheerwine Ginger Lime Chicken Wings


    • 12 Chicken Wings
    • Salt and Pepper to taste
    • 1-12 oz. can Cheerwine, reduced by 1/2
    • 2 limes Zest, minced
    • 2 Limes Juiced, fresh squeezed
    • 2 tbsp. Ginger, fresh, finely grated
    • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
    • 1 tbsp. Honey
    • 1/2 C Texas Pete Original Buffalo Wing Sauce


    YIELD: 12 wings with 1 1/4 cups glaze
    PORTION (Serving Size): 1 wing with glaze

    1. Preheat the deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    2. Pour the 12 ounces of Cheerwine into a small saucepot and reduce by ½.   Once reduced, add the lime zest, lime juice, ginger, soy sauce and honey. Bring to a simmer, cook for 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.  Add the Texas Pete Original Buffalo Wing Sauce.  Mix well and set aside.  Begin cooking the chicken wings.

    3. Carefully place the chicken wings into the deep fryer and fry them for approximately 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, crispy and fully cooked with an internal temperature of 165 degrees.  Remove them from the fryer and drain well.  Season the wings with salt and pepper and place into a large mixing bowl. Toss them with the Texas Pete and Cheerwine ginger lime glaze. Serve immediately.
