Texas Pete® Buffalo Chicken Sloppy Joes


    • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
    • 1 1/2 lb. Chicken Thighs, boneless, skinless, diced
    • 1 lb. Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless, diced
    • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil, for vegetables
    • 1 Onion, diced small
    • 1 Red bell pepper, diced small
    • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 jar Texas Pete Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce
    • 1/2 Bottle Barbecue Sauce
    • 6 Kaiser or french rolls, toasted


    1. Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large saute pan and heat on medium heat.  Add chicken in a single layer to hot oil without crowding and cook on each side until browned.
    2. Place chicken into slow cooker. 
    3. In pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium heat and saute diced onion, bell pepper and minced garlic until soft.  Add to slow cooker.
    4. Add Texas Pete Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce and barbecue sauce to the slow cooker and stir.
    5. Cover slow cooker and cook on low until chicken falls apart easily about 6-7 hours.
    6. Use two forks to shred chicken in the slow cooker.
    7. Serve generously on toasted buns and enjoy!
